The tax collector handles the billing of property taxes on more than 3,000 parcels of land in the Town and acts as a collection agency for Oswego County, Town of Granby, special districts (water) and fire district taxes based upon budgets adopted by the respective municipal authorities.

Hours of Operation

  • There is a drop box at the town hall for taxes that is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Envelopes are available.  Please ensure that you are making your check out to Janet Ingersoll, Tax Collector.  It is helpful if you include your tax bill number so a receipt can be mailed to you quickly.  If you need a receipt, please provide your tax bill.
  • Taxes may be paid in person at the town hall on the following days:
    • MONDAYS from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
    • TUESDAYS from 11:00 am - 6:30 pm
    • WEDNESDAYS from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
    • THURSDAYS from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
    • FRIDAYS (CLOSED)
    • SATURDAYS (January only) from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
    • SUNDAY (CLOSED)
