What is a Budget?

The Town of Granby’s budget is a financial plan that details the town’s projected revenues and expenditures for a defined period of time. We have operating budget and capital budgets. An operating budget is a plan of current (annual) spending and the means to pay for it (taxes, fees, etc.). A capital budget contains long-term spending for the acquisition of assets and the means to pay for them, including borrowing.
